Find your median, not your best

Sort your videos by views and find the middle one. That median is your channel's honest baseline. Your best video is partly luck; your median is what your audience reliably does. Every idea should be judged against the median: does this have a reason to beat it?

Interrogate your outliers

Look at your few videos that clearly beat the median. Ignore how they performed and ask what they promised: the topic, the format, the title style, the thumbnail. Outliers usually share a promise, not a production quality. That shared promise is your channel's strongest known signal, and your next video should make a version of it.

Look at your misses honestly

Videos that fell far below the median are information too. Usually they promised something your audience did not come to you for. That does not make them bad videos, it makes them the wrong videos for the audience you have built. Note the pattern and stop paying for it.
