For Fortnite creators

Turn a Fortnite session into Shorts with your facecam kept

A Fortnite session is an hour of rotations and looting for four minutes that matter: the endgame where you talked yourself through the last circle, the build fight you narrated, the squad fill who would not stop talking. We transcribe the whole recording, pick the stretches that stand on their own, and rebuild each one for a phone with you across the top and the match underneath.

  • Facecam lifted out of its corner and enlarged, the match kept whole beneath it
  • Moments picked from what you said, so the clip opens on the setup, not the elimination
  • Your first two videos are free to cut and to watch

Your first two videos are free to cut and to watch. No card.

Face on top, game whole underneath, nothing between them.

What clips in Fortnite, and why volume gets it wrong

The moments that travel from Fortnite are rarely the elimination itself. They are the thirty seconds around it: you calling the rotation that put you in the right spot, the panic when the storm closed on a bad build, the silence before a last shot and the noise after. Clippers that key on loud audio find the noise and cut straight into it, so the viewer lands on a Victory Royale screen with no idea how it happened.

We read your words instead. The whole recording is transcribed, then read from start to finish, and the stretches chosen are the ones with a beginning. In a Fortnite session that means the clip starts on you saying what is about to happen, which is the thing that makes a stranger keep watching.

Your facecam, the storm timer and the minimap all survive

Fortnite puts everything useful along the edges. The minimap and storm timer sit top right, your materials and ammo bottom right, health and shield bottom left, and your facecam in whichever corner your overlay leaves. A centre crop to 9:16 cuts away two thirds of the width and loses most of that at once.

We do not crop the match. The gameplay sits in the lower band of the vertical frame at full width, scaled down rather than trimmed, so the whole HUD is still there and the storm circle still reads. Your facecam is found, cut out of its corner and enlarged to fill the band above it. The two meet on one clean seam, no blurred filler, and the captions sit on your shoulders rather than over the play.

Zero Build, Reload, Ranked and creative all work the same

Nothing in the pipeline knows which mode you were in or what season it is. It is reading your voice and finding your face, so a Reload lobby, a Ranked Zero Build grind and a creative map practice session all come out the same way. The one thing that does not work is a silent cinematic replay from the Replay mode, because there is nothing said in it for the tool to read.

Long sessions are the point

A pasted YouTube link can be up to four hours. On the free tier each of your first two videos can be up to two hours, which covers a full evening of matches. We email you when the clips are ready, so you can start a batch and go play.

Post the Short from here

Give a finished clip a title and it uploads to your own YouTube channel as a Short, private, unlisted or public as you choose. Nothing is posted unless you press the button.

Your last session has Shorts in it

Point us at the recording and the endgames you talked through are cut, captioned and waiting, with your facecam still in frame. The first two videos are free.

Frequently asked questions

›Does it find my eliminations and Victory Royales automatically?

Not from the screen, and we would rather say so. Moments are chosen from your commentary, so a win you talked through will be found and a win you played in silence will not. If you narrate your matches, which most Fortnite creators do, that is exactly what it is built for.

›I record with Replay mode and no voice. Will it work?

The clipping needs a voice track to read, so a silent cinematic replay gives it nothing to work with. Record your live session with commentary and use that as the source.

›My facecam is tiny in the corner. Is that a problem?

That is the normal case and the reason the layout exists. The facecam is found wherever it sits, cut out and scaled up to fill the top of the frame, so a small corner cam becomes the largest thing on screen.

›Does it work on squad recordings with other people talking?

Yes. The transcript includes everyone on the voice track, and squad banter is often where the best clips are. The captions follow what was said, whoever said it.

›Do I have to upload the recording?

Only if it is not already on YouTube. If it is, sign in with YouTube or paste the link and we fetch it ourselves. A file from disk works too.
